The Orthodox
Parents’ Association (O.P.A!) of Prophet Eliasconsists of parents who wish to share and improve their adventure in parenting. Meetings consist of a delicious pot-luck lunch followed by seminars, presentations, guest speakers and open discussion. Father Peter has led seminars and open discussions on a variety of spiritual topics. Guest speakers from the Mississauga Family Centre and the Police have spoken about safety, self-esteem and parenting styles.
Meetings are held monthly during the school year, immediately after the Sunday Divine Liturgy (see the Schedule of Services and Events for dates). A Christian child care programme is offered by Presbytera Melanie during O.P.A! meetings.
